Mission Statement

Welcome to Fire District 51 - Citizens Fire Company No. 1 (Station 51) of  Middleport, Pa. We are a  small volunteer fire company that is tucked away in the coal regions of northeast Pennsylvania. This small fire company is made up of all volunteers who provide and assist the residents of Middleport and its surrounding communities with the best professional fire and emergency services and protection. We utilize the best fire suppression and emergency techniques. Our mission is to save lives, property and the environment from loss, damage and suffering due to fire, medical and environmental emergencies. Our members are dedicated to continue their fire education, they go threw intense fire training programs threw the state and our station. we also provide fire safety information to our community and the children of our community. We have 14 active members who volunteer their time not only to provide fire and emergency services to the community but they also  repair and maintain the fire apparatus and the equipment, as well the grounds and the building that house the apparatus. They manage all memberships and fund raising which support this fire department. We also work mutual aid with our neighboring communities. The department is always dispatched by Schuylkill County Communications Center and uses 46.50 as our primary dispatch frequency. We also use 46.21 as or working fire ground channel. Our fire chief utilizes frequency 51.00 and our assistant chief utilizes 51.01.
